How to start selling digital products online: a plain checklist
You have an ebook, template, or printable. Here's the shortest honest path from file to first sale page, with no hype.

1. Get the product ready
Have the final file, a one-sentence description of who it's for, and a price. Make sure you own the rights to sell it.
2. Create your own accounts
- A hosting account for the site (a free static host works for a small store)
- A Stripe account, verified in your name or your business's name
- An email address for delivery and support
3. Set up checkout and delivery
Use Stripe Checkout or Payment Links so buyers pay you directly. After payment, send buyers to a success page with the download link, and email it too.
4. Add the pages buyers and processors expect
- Product page with what's included, the format, and the price
- About and Contact
- Privacy, Terms, and a Refund policy
5. Basic SEO and a launch
Give every page a clear title and description, add a share image and a sitemap, and verify the site in Google Search Console. Write a handful of launch posts that describe the product plainly. Expect slow early sales; most new stores earn little at first.

Common questions
Do I need to pay for hosting?
Usually not for a small static store. Stripe charges its own fees per sale.
Do I need a business license?
It depends on where you live. This isn't legal or tax advice; check your local rules and Stripe Tax docs.
