Privacy Policy

TaskStaffed ("we") provides AI digital staff that text and email on behalf of local businesses ("Businesses"). This policy covers business owners who use TaskStaffed and the people who text or call those Businesses.

What we collect

Owner account details (email, password hash, shop profile, billing status from Stripe). For people who call or text a Business: phone number, the messages exchanged, and what you tell us (name, what you need, preferred time). Invoices a Business enters (customer name, phone, amount, due date).

How we use it

Only to provide the service the Business set up: reply to missed calls, file leads, send invoice reminders, review invites, and (with your separate consent) promotions, and to send the Business its daily brief. Message text may be drafted by an AI model processing these details.

Sharing

We share data with providers that run the service (Twilio for calls and texts, Stripe for billing, Netlify for hosting, our AI and email providers) and with the Business you contacted. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We do not sell personal information.

Our own text line

If you text or call (833) 734-1333, or choose "Text me order updates" or "text me deals" at checkout on any of our shops, we store your mobile number, what you opted into, the time and the page you opted in on, and the messages exchanged, and use them only to send what you asked for. Calls may be answered by an automated assistant and voicemails recorded and transcribed so we can reply. Mobile numbers are never sold or shared with third parties for marketing.

Your choices

Reply STOP to any text to stop texts from that Business. Reply HELP for help. Email us to access or delete your data. California residents have the rights described in the CCPA/CPRA.

Email list

If you sign up in the "free guides and occasional updates" box, we store your email address, the page you signed up on and the date (Netlify Blobs). We send one welcome email right away (via Resend), then about one email a month at most. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link; after you unsubscribe we keep only a record that you opted out. We never sell or share your email.

Retention and security

We keep records while the Business's account is active and as needed for legal obligations, and protect them with encryption in transit and access controls.
