Done-for-you online store setup: what you should actually get
A done-for-you store build should leave you owning a working store, not a promise. Here's what to expect, what to ask, and what to walk away from.

What a done-for-you build is (and isn't)
A done-for-you online business setup means someone else builds the store, checkout, and basic marketing assets so you can start selling a product you already have. It is not a business plan, a product, or a source of customers.
The best builds happen on accounts you own. If the builder holds your store or payment account, you don't really own the business.
What should be included
- A store on your own hosting account (for a small digital store, a free static host is usually enough)
- Checkout on your own payment account, with money going straight to you
- Product pages, About, Contact, Privacy, Terms, and Refund pages
- A delivery step: a success page or email with the download link
- SEO basics: titles, descriptions, a share image, a sitemap
- A clear number of revision rounds and a support window after handoff
Typical prices
Cheap marketplace gigs often run $80–200 and are usually a theme install. Reputable fixed-price builds with a support window tend to land between about $500 and $2,000. Full agency packages with branding and marketing cost far more.
Red flags
- Income or "7-figure" claims. Nobody can promise sales.
- Asking for your passwords instead of team invites or restricted keys
- The builder's own payment account collecting your sales
- No written refund terms or revision limits
- Vague timelines with no start date
